Caroline was raised in the countryside and has an interest in budgeting while trying not to waste her hard earned money. Caroline has particular interests in bamboo plants and products made from bamboo, gardening, survival, bush craft, natural health and nutrition, and after travelling to New Zealand several times has a passion for the country and culture.

Caroline’s previous career was a Website and Intranet Developer for 13 years at two universities in the UK but following her redundancy is now concentrating all her time on building her own websites and writing quality information resources and guides for her site users.

Caroline Ord-Hume is owner of Budgeting Steps and author of the content contained throughout this site other than in cases where content is created and submitted by individual visitors and users.
