Christmas budget worksheetA budget worksheet for Christmas is probaby the last thing on your mind in the run up to Christmas, but you'd be able to enjoy Christmas a lot more if you knew you could afford it by planning ahead a little. I've always started to think about Christmas in October. I like to spread the cost a little as I always found I ended up spending more than I anticipated. Now I have a growing family, Christmas is about to get a whole lot more expensive. Instead of going round to Mum's for a lovely, well cooked Christmas dinner, it'll be me preparing and cooking the meal for ten family members! When I started to look into the costs, I decided to make it much easier by setting up this budget worksheet. This allows me to know in advance how much it's likely to cost so I can spread the cost over several months and begin to think about saving for next year. ![]() Don't leave it until December to start using this spreadsheet. It should be started in October or November at the latest to help you plan your spending. Christmas will be a whole lot easier on your wallet if you spread the cost over several months (or if you're really organised, the whole year) rather than forking out for it in just one month, ouch! This spreadsheet covers Christmas meals, nibbles, drinks, parties and clothes. It also has an extra tab to keep track of gifts and stocking fillers. Filling it in will show you the true cost of Christmas! This budget is available in Microsoft Office Excel, 2003 or as a PDF (in two parts). Choose your preference below.
